"Most alcohol industry profits come from problem drinkers - studies"

"Alcohol industry giants like Diageo, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and MillerCoors claim they promote responsible drinking, but a new study from the UK reveals the 'dirty little secret' that most of their profits come from 'harmful' and 'hazardous' customers.

"Of the estimated £37.8 billion ($54bn) profit reaped by English alcohol sales in 2013, £23.7 billion came from what health professionals call 'harmful' and 'hazardous' drinkers who risk their health and cause lethal damage, according to the Guardian.

"'Hazardous' drinkers consume more than 14 'units' per week, equal to about seven pints, whereas 'harmful', or 'risky', drinkers consume more than 50 units per week for men, or 35 for women.

"This can lead to liver problems, cancer, and anti-social problems like domestic abuse, drunk driving, and other forms of violence.

"Looking at data from the Health Survey for England, researchers from Southampton University were able to calculate how this translates in financial terms, concluding that £14.4 billion ($20bn) worth of sales came from 'hazardous' drinkers and £9.3 billion ($13bn) from 'harmful' drinkers.

"Official figures from England's Health & Social Care Information Centre show the fatal repercussions of consumption are 6,592 alcohol-related deaths in 2013, a ten percent increase in just ten years.

"This echoes a new report from Australia this week which was also shows the alcohol industry’s heavy reliance on risky drinkers.

"Australia’s main consumers of alcohol represent just 20 percent of the population, but account for over 74 percent of all the alcohol consumed each year.

"The findings demonstrate that if this 20 percent reduced their consumption to within the guidelines, the total alcohol consumed in Australia would decrease by 39 percent.

"'The alcohol industry is totally dependent on risky drinking,' Michael Thorn, CEO of the Foundation for Alcohol Research & Education, said. 'This is its dirty little secret. It’s an industry built on identifying, targeting and exploiting its best customers.'"

I don't think this is really something new.  I've heard of other such studies in the past.  I bet (get it?) that most of the gambling industry's profits come from problem gamblers or gambling addicts, too..

"Update - Sheriff’s arrest owner of dog found stuffed in a bag in Columbia County"

From RacineUncovered:

"Update from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department-The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have arrested the owner of the dog that was found abandoned. The owner is 56-year-old Terri Lynn Benson of Pardeeville. Benson is being held at the Columbia County Jail on charges of mistreating animals and abandoning animals.

"Benson is scheduled to appear in Columbia County Circuit Court on Monday, January 25.

"Sheriff Richards says his office has received a tremendous amount of offers of support for the care and rehabilitation of 'Misty,' the abandoned black lab. Richards says anyone interested in contributing toward the care of Misty should contact the Columbia County Humane Society."

"From the Columbia County Humane Society - Last night, we were called by the Sheriff’s Department to come and pick up a dog. This dog was found by people who were out near hunting grounds north of Portage in the Town of Fort Winnebago. When our staff member arrived, she was told the dog was found in a large camping type bag that was zipped up. The dog suffered head trauma and was left in the bag. We immediately took her to the Portage Veterinary Clinic where Dr. Cooper examined her. He scored her body condition as a 1 out of 9. She has a very large mammary tumor and needed immediate attention for her head wounds. This poor dog needed 19 staples to close her head wounds. She is on antibiotics and pain medication.

"We are furious this dog suffered whatever trauma she suffered and was discarded like trash. If you recognize this dog, please contact us or the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department. They are investigating the incident. Their number is 608-742-4166. Our number is 608-742-3666. She is currently here at CCHS and hopefully on the mend. We don’t know what her future holds at this time but we and the Portage Veterinary Clinic will do what we can to help her.

"Why Has My Wisconsin Tax Refund Been Delayed?"

Bullshit. They've received my Homestead Credit Claim, but say it will take 8 -12 weeks to process it. It's the simplest of documents. I filled it out in 10 minutes. But, of course, the state follows no laws or rules except those that they choose or make up along the way. My claim will not be received in time to help with my money problems next month.

Fuck the government.  I mean that with all my heart.  As I was screaming at insurance companies yesterday, I talked to one guy who started in on government regulations.  I said, "Don't tell me that you believe the government is meant to serve the people?  The government's job is to wring every last goddamned penny they can out of you.  They don't work for us, they work against us."

I firmly believe that.  The government of the USA and its states are criminal enterprises.  They're killers and whores, and they don't give a shit about you or me.  Any and all resistance from the oppressed is our duty to our country.  Our government is a sham, and it's our job to bring it down and fix it.  No one else will.

I feel like roadkill and my creditors are crows pecking at my carcass.  If the money's not there, then it's NOT THERE.  What the fuck am I supposed to do, hold up a liquor store?

Sorry.  You can read what set me off this time here:  in the comments section

I so want to end it all.  Where there's no hope, there's no life.  I no longer have any hope.  All I see are endless days of poverty and illness.  All I see are endless battles with huge bureaucracies that I can't possibly win.  My health insurer doesn't give a fuck about people - they just want the $, and more and more $.  Ever drive by an insurer's or pharmaceutical company's campus?  You can just head a little south and see what Abbot Laboratories looks like.  It looks like royalty lives there.  I bet you that maintaining Abbot's landscape costs more than I see in a year.  Insurers and big pharma make trillions of dollars off of the suffering of others. And there's not a fucking thing you can do about it.  Don't like it?  Well, then, die.

"Wisdom from Abraham Lincoln"

From Racine County Corruption:

"Nearly all men can stand adversity,
but if you want to test a man's character,
give him power".

"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser -- in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough".

The above words of wisdom are for the few in Racine who can appreciate the few who still care.

AdSense and Me.

This past Sunday evening, I installed AdSense on in an attempt to supplement my income.  You can allow ads at the top of your sidebar and/or underneath the first two blogs.  I went full tilt and signed up for all.

The  amount of space they take from the sidebar is large.  The installation program said it may take up to 15 minutes for ads to show.  I had ads showing within a few minutes.  They were ugly as hell to me because they destroyed the feel of  I posted this:

I forgot about it and screwed around on the net as usual.  When I went back to a few minutes later, there were large empty spaces where the ads had been.  When I checked with AdSense, they said my blog was under review of their Terms and Conditions.

Screw it.  I took down the above post, I uninstalled as much of the code as I could and shut down my AdSense account.  It's pretty strange when you get "banned" from your own blog.  I must say, I seem to have a touch for it.

Anyway, it felt weird when the ads were showing.  I felt like I was violating my values and/or lack thereof.  Something wasn't right about it.  It just wasn't me.

"Prison supervisor busted for drunken driving, pot gets only a reprimand"

From JSOnline:

By Patrick Marley of the Journal Sentinel - Jan. 16, 2016 9:51 p.m.

"Madison — A Stanley Correctional Institution supervisor received a written reprimand — and no other discipline — after he got into a drunken-driving accident, was found with several grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and refused to tell his bosses where he had acquired the drugs.

"The case is the latest example to surface of public employees facing few sanctions for breaking work rules. It comes as lawmakers debate whether to make changes to the state's employment rules — with supporters saying it should be easier to discipline employees and detractors saying state officials aren't taking action against employees in many instances where they could under existing policies.

"Patrick Lynch, 46, said in an interview he wanted to apologize to taxpayers for his behavior and was looking forward to continuing to work for the state for years.

"Asked what he would say to someone who thought the punishment he got was light, Lynch said: 'L would say, you know, you wouldn't be wrong to feel that way. I feel very fortunate.'

"Lynch contended he was treated the same as any other employee would be. Joy Staab, a spokeswoman for the Department of Corrections, would not say whether Lynch's discipline was in line with what is given in similar cases.

"But a union official said it was much softer than what others get.

"'A double standard exists' between how supervisors and lower-level workers are treated, said Troy Bauch, who represents correctional workers for Council 32 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

"Rank-and-file employees would be summarily fired in a similar situation, particularly if they refused to answer questions during the Department of Corrections investigation as Lynch had, Bauch said.

"'That's dumbfounding to me,' he said. 'I can't even fathom the fact they would allow him to refuse to answer who his drug supplier was....That's like Investigation 101 for the Department of Corrections.'

"Ordinarily, department investigators would insist on knowing the information to ensure employees aren't consorting with inmates to acquire drugs, Bauch said.

"The treatment of Lynch could lead other employees to refuse to answer questions when they are being investigated, Bauch said"

"Dickert To Hold Office Hours For Constituents"

From Racine County Eye:

By Denise Lockwood in Government · January 10, 2016 · No comments

Credit - Racine County Eye
"Racine Mayor John Dickert will hold office hours at several area businesses starting at 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson’s Coffee & Tea, 3306 Washington Ave.

"Dickert decided to hold the office hours every other month to bring the office to his constituents.

"'If someone wants to talk to the mayor of the city, he or she should be able to have access without undo effort. So I want to start getting out regularly listening to Racinians, face-to-face,' Dickert said.

"The purpose of the office hours is to listen to constituent concerns, answer questions and learn more about their experiences.

"'As long as we have real conversation, I know that everyone should get something out of the opportunity. I know I will,' he said.

"Future dates will be posted on the city’s website."

"Wisconsin’s Dirty Underwear Revealed to the World ! Many thanks to Netflix!"

From Racine County Corruption:
Racine County Judge Ptacek
Former D.A. Michael Nieskes

Guess who's underwear belongs to who?

We have the dirt on Racine County former D.A. Michael Nieskes and current Judge Ptacek and we speak poorly of them often.

Many Wisconsinites were already aware of the corruption in Wisconsin law and politics long before the Netflix series of the "Making of a Murderer" documented the case of
State v. Steven Avery.

From local to State Government, there are few places free from corruption.

Both the Demoncrats and the Repulsicans jointly share the fruits of corruption.
Yes Wisconsin is a culture of corruption.
At the Wisconsin Attorney General's office we have also documented the lies and cover up tactics use to protect their fellow corrupt government employees.

At the Wisconsin Attorney General's office, Peg Lautenschlager  so violated her oath of office in the overseeing of the Avery case as J.B.Van Hollen did in 2012 covering Racine District Attorney Michael Nieskes's ass.

It seems the Wisconsin Attorney General's office exists to abuse their power and protect the criminals acts of other government employees.

"A Better Mt. Pleasant"

Read more:

"A Better Mt. Pleasant" is now in the sidebar under Blogs and Local News.

"VR porn is here and it's scary how realistic it is"

"Editors' note: The video above is SFW ... more or less.

"I've tried a lot of different virtual reality experiences. Some good, some extraordinarily amazing, and some terrible. But mostly good.

"I've never, however, tried VR porn. So when Naughty America, one of the U.S.'s largest pornography production companies, invited me to try out VR porn for myself at CES, I wasn't sure what to expect.

"Would I merely be a spectator in a room watching people get freaky? Or would I actually be having VR sex?

"I got my answer as soon as I slipped on a Samsung Gear VR headset and hit play on a VR porn video.

"As the Naughty America title screen faded away, I found myself transported into a bedroom. Kneeling before me was a female porn star who was seductively talking dirty to me. I looked down and saw some guy's muscular body. Well, that's not mine, I thought to myself. I was confused. Whose body was this? Then I realized, I was now this guy.

"The porn star brought in another female friend, and the next thing I knew, they were both naked and performing oral sex on this VR guy, err, me, turning the party into a raunchy threesome.

"Even though I was conscious that the two porn stars weren't actually there and that the guy's body wasn't really mine, I still thought they were real. The more the porn girls jiggled their breasts in my face and rubbed their butts against me, the more I internalized being the VR porn guy. I felt my face get flushed as they showed me their, ahem, skills.

"Things got really weird, that's all I'm going to say."

"Norway: Oslo Police — 'We Have Lost the City'"

"'Early in 2010 Aftenposten stated that there are sharia patrols in this area, and gay couples are assaulted and chased away. "Immigrant Fatima Tetouani says that 'Grønland is more Muslim than Morocco.'"'"

"And that was six years ago.

“Norway: Oslo Police: ‘We Have Lost the City,’” Poqari News, December 31, 2015 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

"The article below is about the apocalyptic level of culturally-enriched violence in Grønland, a district of the city of Oslo.

"Grønland is only two subway stops from the Parliament, and one from the Central Station, fairly close to the government offices that were bombed by Breivik.

"It looks like Karachi, Basra, and Mogadishu all rolled into one. People sell drugs openly just next to the Grønland subway station.

"It’s not Norway or Europe anymore, except when there is welfare money to be collected. The police have largely given up. Early in 2010 Aftenposten stated that there are sharia patrols in this area, and gay couples are assaulted and chased away. 'Immigrant Fatima Tetouani says that "Grønland is more Muslim than Morocco."'

"Readers should remember that Aftenposten, which is the largest newspaper in the Oslo region, is normally pro-Islamic and very Multicultural.

"Sturla Nøstvik (36) did not suspect any danger when the barrel of a pistol was smashed into his forehead. That was the beginning of fifty minutes of hell as a hostage of the robbers.

"The women are being raped at night in Oslo, and the men are robbed more than ever.

"In just the past ten years more than 4,000 people have been robbed in the town center and the area of the Grønland police station [an immigrant ghetto]. Most of them are young men. Sturla Nøstvik is robbery-victim 351 from Grønland just from this year, the same period in which around fifty assault-rapes have been reported in Oslo. The robbers play on fear, violence, and severe threats that leave a mark on the victims. Police superintendent Inge Sundeng in Grønland describes them as the 'somewhat-forgotten victims.'

"The police visited Sturla Nøstvik in the emergency room after the robbery. They told Nøstvik that a gang of robbers had committed many similar robberies in Grünerløkka and surrounding areas in thee past weeks. They told him that everybody should have the right to feel safe, but that they had no way of halting the robberies. 'We have lost the city,' they said…"

Once, when I was 6 or 7 or so, my family was in our trusty Kaiser.  Mom and dad were in front, my sister and me in the back  My sister and I were fighting over a View-Master.  She held onto it very tightly, but suddenly I had possession.  I pulled so hard that when I got possession, it continued until it hit the side window.

At the time, I didn't realize that my and my sister's arguing was getting on dad's nerves.  When I hit the window with the View-Master, that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

We were somewhere out in the country.  There were no homes except for one up aways that had a large black dog chained to something.

Dad pulled over and he told me to get out of the car.  At first, I didn't believe it and started crying.  Dad reaffirmed his command, "Get out of the car!"  Mom said the black dog up ahead would probably eat me.

Crying like crazy, I got out of the car.  It took off.  I stood in the middle of the road, crying.  The dog barked.  I was scared to death.

After a few minutes, the Kaiser returned.  I got back in the car in silence, and nothing was said to me.

We drove on.

"Avery and Pattern or Practice"

From Pattern or Practice:

Posted: January 4, 2016 in The Film

"There is a documentary series on Netflix called 'Making a Murderer'.  After viewing it, I am outraged with the injustices which have been  left unchecked in the case of Steven Avery of Manitowoc County in Wisconsin. Avery’s unconstitutional mistreatment at the hands of corrupt local law enforcement is completely unacceptable and is an abomination of due process. However, in Racine County Wisconsin, 60 miles south, the corruption is running a similar course. Racine public officials, Law Enforcement, and State Representatives are conspiring to cover up money laundering, discrimination, racketeering and corruption all the way to Madison, Wisconsin. Only after a recent lawsuit, Holmes vs the City of Racine has information come to light. The residents of the City of Racine, are unaware of the corrupt activities that surround them as are the citizens of Manitowoc as these corrupt activities unfold in the Avery documentary on Netflix. Pattern or Practice – The Lie a sequel to Pattern or Practice is currently in production. Pattern or Practice  started out as a documentary about unfair treatment and discrimination of people of color has exploded into far more. Like the Avery documentary Pattern or Practice –  The Lie  is developing into a shocking behind the scene look at the corruption embedded in Racine County. I’m currently looking for a large producer to take this story national. Please share this post."

"Drinker wakes up in a morgue after being declared DEAD when he passed out downing vodka in Russia... and heads straight back to the party"

By Jennifer Newton for MailOnline

"A drinker who was declared dead after downing too much vodka in Russia woke up and found himself in a morgue.

"And rather than go home to sleep off the after effects of the alcohol, the man went straight back out to re-join his friends.

"The man had been at a party in the Khansanky region in Russia's far east, drinking vodka.

"After over indulging on the spirit, he passed out and when paramedics arrived they pronounced him dead and arranged for him to be taken to a local morgue.

"He was placed in the mortuary freezer as the facility was filled to capacity with dead bodies.

"But soon after, the man started to come round and was taken aback to find himself in new surroundings.

"According to local media reports, he pounded on the freezer door and pleaded for help before a security guard reported hearing noises to doctors.

"When they opened the door, they found the panicked man who ran from the room before he was questioned by police and then released.

"Aleksey Stoyev, a police spokesman told Russian newspaper Khasanskiye Vesti: 'That night the local morgue was filled to its capacity, the bodies were not only on the shelves, but also on the floor of the freezer room, where our 'dead' man was allocated."

Well, that explains it.  I'm 1/4 Russian.  My mother's father was a Cossack.  They can drink for days

"The Beatles - 'She Loves You' (Anthology 1 [Disc 2])"

JM - 15

Why did the men who fucked my wife when I was still married to her feel compelled to inform me? I'd think they wouldn't want to tell me, or in any way let me know. However, quite the opposite was true. While still drinking, I'd meet men in bars who wanted to tell me all about it. Same thing in recovery. After I sobered up, I'd meet these men in AA meetings. What possible purpose was there other than to hurt me as deeply as possible? I used to get invited to her birthday parties, but never attended because I didn't want to meet these guys again. Was I invited so they could laugh at or mock me?

I have a very good friend who likes female companionship and has a lot of girlfriends. However, he told me once that he wouldn't mess with married women. The reason for that is because once, in a shopping center parking lot, he was sitting in his truck with a married woman. He said another truck pulled up alongside. It was her husband, and he just stared at them for awhile and then drove off. He drove to a railroad crossing and parked on it as a train arrived.

I didn't kill myself over this shit, but I didn't track these guys down and put a hole in their heads, either. When I feel like I do today, I could do it easily. I wouldn't worry about legal repercussions because I would off myself, or suicide by cop.

I've never had a dream like this morning. I was thrown out of bed by my own sobbing. 25 years later and I'm still tormented. I want so badly to stick a barrel in each of those assholes' mouths and pull the trigger. What gave them the right to fuck with my marriage, to shake it to its core? Even after we were no longer living together, my wife's boyfriends would seek me out to give me the lurid details. Maybe she told them to.

One time, she called me to come over to her apartment. I got there and we were talking about mostly nothing and I kept wondering why she wanted me there. When I told her I had to go, the reason rose forth: she told me that she'd slept with my best friend recently. I was completely overcome by my emotions. First off, if she was going to sleep with other men, I'd prefer her to sleep with my best friend because he was my best friend and not a piece of shit she bumped into. Second, I was deeply wounded. Not by her fucking my pal, but by her desire to hurt me so badly that she'd sleep with him.

Sometimes, sometimes when I haven't had ****** in weeks, I think of getting drunk and putting those assholes in their graves, then taking myself down. I don't have a fucking thing to lose.

So watch out. My show might be coming to your neighborhood soon. Then you can join the chorus of people saying, "Well, yes, I read it, but I never thought he'd go through with it."

Every year. every month, each day, give me less and less reason to stay in this world.
